چکیده

All humans contribute to climate change but not equally. Here I estimate the global inequality of individual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions between 1990 and 2019 using a newly assembled dataset income wealth inequality, environmental input-output tables framework differentiating from consumption investments. In my benchmark estimates, find that bottom 50% world population emitted 12% in 2019, whereas top 10% 48% total. Since 1990, has been responsible for only 16% all growth, 1% 23% While per-capita increased since low- middle-income groups within rich countries declined. Contrary situation 63% is now due gap low high emitters rather than countries. Finally, bulk total comes their investments consumption. These findings have implications contemporary debates on fair policies stress need governments develop better data monitor progress towards sustainable lifestyles. Understanding connection economic requires reliable data. This study combines recently with shed light uneven contributions across world.

Global Income Inequality A review

The ratio between (2) ...

A Rank Inequality for the Tate Conjecture over Global Function Fields

We present an observation of D. Ramakrishnan concerning the Tate Conjecture for varieties over a global function field (i.e., the function field of a smooth projecture curve over a finite field), which was pointed out during a lecture given at the AIM’s workshop on the Tate Conjecture in July 2007. The result is perhaps “known to the experts,” but we record it here, as it does not appear to be ...
